Stayed in room 107. Aside from the inn being a little dated the place was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally nice. If all motor inns/lodges were this nice I would choose to stay in one every time.
Older motel, some upgrades, mainly my bathroom was like new. Good cable TV package. Bed very comfortable and building mostly very quiet. Good to get away to, a night or two.. No snack machine, has a soda machine but only water in bottles at the time. Ice machine was broken, days of my visit.... though small stores are nearby for soda, snacks. Etc. ( 7-Eleven , shell food mart ) Few stains on the carpet of my room and around the A/C unit..
I have been here a few times before and each time it has been comfortable and clean. Great for a quick over night stay or a couple days stay as you do activities in neighboring town and within the town itself.
Very comfortable, soft beds and pillows.frudge and microwave nice. Had a large room and very clean. Close to site seeing places and either restaurants or food market. Dave's was an experience to be had. They had everything and I mean everything. Also Makes place just south of the Inn has the BEST breakfast hands down. Price wise they are cheaper than further south which was quite expensive ($400 and up per night). It was a quiet even though it was in a main road. I was very pleased.
Sad to read these reviews. Just going down memory lane. My parents own and operated when it it was called Red Gate motel, late 70s. My father would not be happy. My Mom and I use to clean the rooms.
Basic room w/ no frills but clean and quiet.. Front desk staff was friendly. Great place to stay if visiting URI.
Friendly staff, very clean room, so inexpensive. The only place I'd recommend for under 100 bucks. Will definitely return here if passing through the area again
Very nice and accommodating. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very clean. The AC was powerful but quiet. We had a fridge and free local calls (no charge for using a calling card for long distance). We were 10 min away from a great free beach (Quonset) and 20 min away from Providence. The WiFi is above average, I was getting 1.2 MB/s. It also cost very little! If you want cape cod but less touristy and cheaper, this is a great find. I will definitely return.
